According to the World Meteorological Organization, La Nina ocean cooling in the tropical Pacific is likely to stick around for a few more months bringing further global weather disturbances. The cool phase of La Nina/ El Nino cycle began last year, and has been responsible for floods in Africa and drought in parts of the southern United States as well as weather changes in other parts of the world. Experts say computer models show La Nina lasting through June, after that it should allow near normal Pacific Ocean temprutures to return.
